Welcome Week is the Erasmus Welcome Week promoted and organised by the ESN Bolzano section. This project was born as part of the Erasmus Welcome Days activity, of ESN Italy, to disseminate and give greater value to the Erasmus experience in mobility for study and placement.
These moments are days of welcome and welcome dedicated to young people who will stay in Bolzano to study with the Erasmus+ program or with other exchange programs, aimed at promoting the city, the 'university and the activities of the association and to integrate the best incoming in the reality of Bolzano.
Welcome Week takes place in the last week of September for the first semester, in which more or less 140 Erasmus participate, and in February for the second semester, in which more than 80 Erasmus participate.
This itinerant activity throughout the city has several aims such as:
- to encourage the direct relationship between young people, allowing the partners to contribute to spreading the European spirit in a wide audience of young Italian and international students;
- to enable local universities to launch themselves into a European perspective and interact with EU information networks;
- to guarantee the city of Bolzano, its representatives and all citizens the opportunity to welcome incoming students, show all their warmth towards guests and to make a 'pact' with them for an active and reciprocal exchange for the growth and improvement of the city.
