ESN Italia, as the Italian Network of voluntary, non-partisan and nondenominational university associations, which offer their services to foreign students staying at Italian universities and to Italian bodies interested in exchange programmes, is itself a non-profit, apolitical and nondenominational free association, which pursues all the objectives expressed in the Statute and Directives of the International Network of which it is a member. Therefore, it aims to promote the mobility of university students in Europe:
- Providing welcome and advice to foreign students for a period of study at an Italian university (through a service that goes from the search for accommodation to tutoring and the organization of cultural and recreational events that promote the integration of foreign students in the local university environment);
- Providing an updated information service on European inter-university exchange programmes;
- Developing a systematic evaluation of the same programmes, through the experience of the students who took part in them.
Currently, ESN Italy has 51 active sections. The active sections offer a regular counter time in the offices provided by the International Relations Offices or Foreign Relations Offices of the University, with which they collaborate. There is an ESN section for university. Opening hours to the public vary according to local needs.
ESN Italia is the body that coordinates all the local sections located on the territory.
